While you're spending hours tuning your Bugatti to shave 0.3 seconds off your lap time, I'm already 3 laps ahead in a three-wheeled van from 1970. Some call it unfair. I call it elegant.
Playground Games patched the Drivatars twice because of me. It didn't help.

Set in Japan. Nearly 5 million copies sold in week one. Critics praise the Drivatar system as "the most lifelike AI in racing history." A specific Drivatar is born on a server farm somewhere. They have a username. They have a 1970 Reliant Supervan III. They have a plan.
LAUNCHFirst Reddit thread surfaces
An r/ForzaHorizon user posts a clip titled "bowie knife99 just sent me back to Mexico." Within hours the comments are 80% other players sharing identical experiences from different lobbies. The pattern is undeniable. A parody account named @BowieKnife99 appears on X within a day, bio: "Everyone's favourite Drivatar."

Playground reduces global Drivatar aggression by 15%. Patch notes mention "specific edge cases." Within 90 minutes, three new clips trend on X. One features a Reliant Robin jumping a guardrail into oncoming traffic. The community names it "Patch Survived."

The official @xboxuk account tweets: "Happy Bank Holiday Monday to everyone except bowie knife99." No further explanation. 50k+ likes within 24 hours. Quote-tweets pour in from PRAGMATA, PAYDAY, and other brand accounts. The platform holder is now actively bullying a single AI driver. We are in uncharted territory.

Playground announces they are "investigating Drivatar matchmaking anomalies" and pledges to "report findings once enough data is collected." Translation: they don't know what is happening either. The Reliant Robin keeps appearing. In some lobbies, twice.

I was leading by 15 seconds on the final lap. BowieKnife99 appeared out of NOWHERE in a three-wheeler and yeeted me into the ocean. I'm uninstalling.
This "AI" waited at a hairpin for me. It WAITED. Then it T-boned me at 200mph. It wasn't even in my race. I'm genuinely scared.
I switched to single player to escape BowieKnife99. The Drivatar was there. In the photo mode. Just… watching.
I had a 70,000 × 5.0 skill combo going when I got rammed by some AI driver. Who was it? BowieKnife99 of course.
